GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
SAPTEX HordiStyrene, is a rigid closed – cell polystyrene hollow block made by a shape molding process.
SAPTEX HORDISTYRENE combines the best properties of expanded and extruded polystyrene.
SAPTEX HORDISTYRENE, has stable thermal conductivity that ensures con-stant insulation efficiency through out the lifetime of the building and is CFC & HCFC free.
SAPTEX HORDISTYRENE, has excellent bonding to concrete and is not negatively affected by it. The stringent quality policy adapted by Saptex ensures that the product standard is maintained.
SAPTEX HordiStyrene, has excellent physical properties, is dimensionally stable and absorbs very little water
ADVANTAGES:
- Light weight: Saptex HordiStyrene block measuring 20 (cm) x 25 (cm) X 40 (cm) weighs very less than concrete hordi block (98,52 % less dead weight on the construction)
- Thermal Insulation: due to its low thermal conductivity value
Saptex HordiStyrene has a 5 times higher thermal resistance value than concrete or red hordi blocks.
- Acoustic Insulation: due to the superior acoustic properties of polystyrene compared to concrete or red blocks, in addition, the improved design of the Hordi-Styrene block, it contributes to acoustic insulation properties, significantly.
FINISHING WORKS:
Saptex Hordistyrene blocks can be placed using one of the following methods.
- Use SAPBOND cement adhesive in the first plastering stage (spatter dash) or
- Use wire mesh.

NSTALLATION:
Always consult the local regulations and contact the manufactuer for technical questions. After installation the insulation boards must be protected against weather conditions and sunlight.
